Straight Down the Leash

Ah yes, the coveted ‘day off’ – no labor in the garden plot of the fourth first, no books to balance, no yardwork and my new cat has just re-entered her daily, 22-hour period of slumber.

It’s “Richard Edward time” now; coffee and a slow, steady ingestion of the news, punctuated by quick trips to the fridge to steal another piece of my only culinary triumph; a home-marinade, grass-fed, dehydrated-in-my-very own-oven beef jerky. All while the fourth first is occupied on a call to her sister in Ukraine.

News intake routine activated? Yes. Initial news scan results? Yes, the news is as annoying today as it is on any other day – and as horrifyingly predictable … or is it predictably horrifying. One article in and I am already running from an avalanche of stupid.

Our friends at Fox News tell us that “Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) led a group of her House Democratic colleagues in a letter to federal immigration officials demanding an overhaul of immigration policies and objecting to gang members in the country illegally being targeted for deportation.”

The group further posits that:

The lawmakers claim an interim enforcement memo issued by ICE “does not adequately protect the liberty interests of asylum seekers” and presumes an illegal migrant — including those convicted of aggravated felonies — to be a “border security and enforcement and removal priority.”

“It is well documented that law enforcement’s practices of labelling people as gang-involved is often faulty, based on arbitrary and racist factors, and not subject to due process,” the lawmakers claimed.

“We are in a moment of racial reckoning in this country, with communities across the country calling for an end to mass incarceration and racist policing,” the group continued. “It is time to end the carceral approach to immigration, which relies on these same flawed systems.”

What in the blazes? Dems don’t want illegal gang members to be deported? Did I read that right? Border patrol and ICE personnel aren’t capable of identifying the MS-13 gang tattoo on some illegal’s neck and forehead anymore? Is this insanity or some twisted ploy to distract from a more nefarious plot to destroy —

Mr. Narrator (interrupts): “Richard Edward you did read that ‘right’ and you read it correctly, too. The Squad and many other social justice Democrats are concerned that illegals who have been convicted of aggravated felonies are presumed, by DHS, to be a ‘border security and enforcement and removal priority’; a DHS priority that they opine is trampling all over those poor dear’s rights.”

Richard Edward: “This is crazy talk, reflecting crazy thinking. This isn’t difficult. Even I can determine the difference between a young, central American male covered in gang tattoos from one with crazy Nancy’s ‘spark of divinity’ on his face. Who is the leader of this particular social justice cult that is telling the American people that wrong is right, bad is good, hoodlums are choirboys, and that seasoned law enforcement officers only super-power is one that always ends in the mis-identification of ‘good’ criminal illegals for ‘bad’ criminal illegals?”

Mr. Narrator: “Think about if for a minute, Richard Edward. Think about the groupthink of those 35 Democrats and their rote quotation of their social justice catechism. What do you really hear? Where do you think it begins? How uniform does their litany seem to be and who may have trained these mongrels, the ones who howl at the moon of laws and righteousness? Use your knower, try hard to remember.”

Richard Edward: “Yes, I remember now. Back in the day I used to say I could match any of my squadron’s working dogs with their handlers by simply observing the handler’s behavior. I believed then, and still do, that the personality of the handler goes right down the leash! Tactical training is critical; but the subtle attitudes, approach and response to situations that complete the effectiveness and credibility of the unit start with the attitude and personality of the handler.”

Mr. Narrator: “I knew you’d remember Richard Edward! Now, think a little harder – who is the ‘handler’ for the social justice Democrats?  Who holds the leash? Who dictates the training? Who gives the commands? Who issues the talking points and sets the goals for the group? I’ll help you Richard Edward. It’s not AOC. She is a parrot and a mixologist, not a handler. Think further up the leash.”

Richard Edward: “It can’t be Joey Robinette, Mr. Narrator. He is far too muddled in his thinking to come up with such a preposterous perversion of professional policing and border control. Joey wouldn’t be able to hold even an incoherent thought long enough to come up with this kind of woke poop.”

Mr. Narrator: “I’ll give you one last hint, Richard Edward. It’s got to be someone with a more sinister thought process, someone who was trained year after year in the dark arts of Marxism, someone who embraces Cloward-Piven strategy as the ‘final solution’ to America’s wonderful culture and history’s best-ever living experiment. It’s someone who must still remember his Muslim roots, who believes that America owes the world an apology for its racist, colonial behavior and that an individual’s wealth is something to be re-distributed to those who didn’t labor to earn it.”

Richard Edward: “Okay, I get it. But how can Obama be the handler? He isn’t in office anymore.”

Mr. Narrator: “Richard Edward, you are so naïve. He has to do something while he waits for the ocean to rise and engulf his new house on Martha’s Vineyard. Don’t you remember, he (joked?) stated in an interview on the CBC how wonderful a third term would be if he could sit in his jammies in his basement and pull the strings of government to someone sitting in the White House, communicating via an earpiece? Why do you think Biden says he’ll be in trouble if he answers press questions? In trouble with who, perhaps his old boss?”

Richard Edward: “Okay, you are spot on. Look at Obama’s personality and his attitude towards America; then look at what Biden and the social justice Dems say and do. I was also correct. It goes right down the leash, after all.”

If you think that dozens of American legislators responding to a hidden handler’s commands can lead to a crisis, please leave a comment and let Mr. Narrator and Richard Edward know your thoughts.

Biden Gets a Little Confused Talking to Reporters About April’s Employment Numbers

CNBC analyst Steve Liesman reported the Bureau of Labor’s April nonfarm payroll numbers on Friday.

Looking at his computer, he saw the number and said, “Ahh, sorry about that, it came across very quickly here.”

“It looks like 266,000. It looks like it was a big disappointment at 266.”

“But maybe I have that wrong. Let me double-check the Bureau website here. Yes, 266 is correct … so we have some issues here.”

Liesman was confused because Wall Street was looking for quadruple the number. The much lower than expected number of new jobs boosted the unemployment rate to 6.1 percent.

Although the unemployment rate ticked up, companies are finding it extremely difficult to fill the many jobs that are available. “Help wanted” signs are everywhere. The workers who would normally take those positions are finding that it doesn’t pay for them to work when they can do as well or almost as well by collecting unemployment benefits.

The government has created a disincentive to work.

Shortly after the numbers were announced, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer Neil Bradley issued a statement:

“The disappointing jobs report makes it clear that paying people not to work is dampening what should be a stronger jobs market. We need a comprehensive approach to dealing with our workforce issues and the very real threat unfilled positions poses to our economic recovery from the pandemic. One step policymakers should take now is ending the $300 weekly supplemental unemployment benefit. Based on the Chamber’s analysis, the $300 benefit results in approximately one in four recipients taking home more in unemployment than they earned working.”

Speaking to reporters on Monday about the report, President Joe Biden got a little confused. He claimed that workers aren’t being paid to stay home. In his confusion, he then contradicted himself.

“There’s been a lot of discussion since Friday’s report that people are being paid to stay home rather than go to work but we don’t see much evidence of that,” said Biden before saying, “That is a major factor — we, we don’t see that, that…look…”

The View From Down Under: Australian News Anchor Delivers a Second Brutal Review of the Biden Administration [Update]

Update: Another Sky News Australia anchor torches Biden. Scroll down for Alan Jones’ monolog.

It’s time for the Biden Administration and the U.S. establishment media to understand that they aren’t fooling the rest of the world with the farce they work so hard, day in and day out, to perpetuate. The world knows that President Joe Biden has dementia and that the media is working hard to cover up for him.

In February, Sky News anchor (and former member of parliament from South Australia) Cory Bernardi took aim at Biden for the first time. He began his monolog by telling viewers, “Never before has the leader of the free world been so cognitively compromised. It’s clear to me at the least that US President Joe Biden is struggling with dementia and is clearly not up to the task he’s been sworn in to do.” (Australian TV Host Delivers Brutally Honest Report on Biden’s Dementia: Calls Out US Media for ‘Biden Protection Racket’)

Two weeks later, another Sky News anchor, also from Australia, went off on Biden. (Second Australian Anchor Smokes the U.S. Media’s ‘Errant Hypocrisy’ Regarding Biden; Biden Just ‘Blunders On’)

Shortly after that, a Brit hopped on the bandwagon. (Two Honest Aussies, and Now a Brit, Report What Our Own Media Will Not.)

A couple of days ago, Bernardi was back with a progress report. Suffice it to say that neither Biden, nor his inner circle, fared any better this time around.

In the video below, Bernardi offers his second scathing assessment of the Biden Administration which he calls a true to life mockumentary.

He unmercifully critiques everyone from “Cackling Kamala” to “Crazy Nancy” and does not hesitate to point out the oddities and hypocrisies that the U.S. media refuses to touch. Watch the video below and you’ll wish Bernardi worked for CNN.

(Spoiler: Biden has not improved the United States’ standing in the eyes of the world.)

Lo and behold, as I was clicking around for news, I came across an update from Alan Jones, the other Australian anchor to torch Biden last month. Jones said that the “Leader of the Free World is incoherent, having to be propped up physically and intellectually … After the stumble, the websites of MSNBC, CBS News, the Washington Post, Lost Angeles Times and the New York Times all had no mention of Biden’s stumbling incident.”

Jones continued: “To prove the Trump point, when it came to airtime on television, CNN devoted 15 seconds to the incident. … But when Trump walked slowly down a ramp after he delivered a graduation address last June, CNN devoted 22 minutes to Trump’s walk, the media pushing the line that Trump – 74 – was facing serious health question.”

The U.S. media and the current occupant of the White House are international laughing stocks.

Two Honest Aussies, and Now a Brit, Report What Our Own Media Will Not

Following President Joe Biden’s first primetime address to Americans on Thursday night, the conservative media pounced.

First, bloggers directed their criticism to the substance of the speech. Biden had cast blame on former President Donald Trump for his handling of the pandemic. He told Americans, “A year ago we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked. Denials for days, weeks, then months that led to more deaths, more infections, more stress, and more loneliness.”

Next, Biden claimed credit for the massive rollout of vaccinations, the plans for which had been put in place by the Trump Administration.

He even had the gall to tell us that if we behave, we might be allowed to get together with friends and family on the Fourth of July. Will anyone tell him we’ve been doing this for months?

Beyond the carefully prepared words he read from the teleprompter, conservative bloggers described the deadness in Biden’s eyes, the slowness of his gait and how quickly he appeared to tire by the end of the 20-minute talk.

The liberal media, on the other hand, praised the President:

The most cringeworthy response of all came from CNN’s S.E. Cupp:

Anyway, over the last week, I’ve posted two compelling monologues delivered separately by Sky News Australia anchors Alan Jones and Cory Bernardi. Both men delivered brutal, but accurate, assessments of Biden’s deteriorating cognitive abilities as well as his administration’s missteps. They each marveled at the U.S. media’s refusal to report on either issue.

This morning, Powerline’s Scott Johnson discovered another report, this one from the U.K.

In a post cleverly entitled, “But He Hasn’t Got Anything On,” Johnson writes that “the mainstream media are playing the part of the courtiers and townsfolk in ‘The emperor’s new clothes.’ Along comes historian and Spectator deputy editor Dominic Green to play the part of the little child in the Telegraph column “President Biden is crumbling before our eyes.”

Green’s article is hidden behind a paywall. I’ve printed a portion of it below:

Joe Biden’s decline has become so painful to see and so embarrassing to watch that it feels cruel to mention it. But it’s even more cruel that Biden’s team act as if it’s not happening, and most of America’s media look the other way.

On Thursday night, Biden marked the first anniversary of the Covid-19 shutdowns and his fiftieth day in the White House by giving the first televised address of his presidency. He hadn’t been seen in public for three days.

From the moment he wheezed up to the lectern and peered into the camera, you could tell Biden was on top form: croaky sentiment, sporadic belligerence, and only the occasional moment when he looked oddly distant and perplexed.

He got through twenty minutes, then tottered off without taking any questions. This is how low the bar now is for Biden. And we can see how hard Biden has to fight, and what a long run-up he requires, if he is to clear it.

We can see it in his struggle to follow the simple lines on his autocue, and in his bungling of the simplest ad-libs. We see it in the clips of his increasingly desperate handlers trying to block him from questions at his rare and carefully managed appearances before the cameras. Most of all, we see it in his eyes.

“What am I doing here?” Biden asked after fumbling his autocue lines in an address in Texas in late February. He reached for the cue cards that are now his constant companion. “I’m gonna lose track here.”

Biden’s supporters call him “gaffe-prone[.]” It’s true: he’s always thought with his mouth open. It’s also true that he bravely overcame a speech impediment in childhood, and that anxiety and age can cause a stutter to recur. But these aren’t gaffes or stutters.

Compare how he moves and sounds now to how he was a year ago, let alone five years ago. Biden looks and sounds frail. He seems visibly distressed at his inability to carry out the simplest requirements of office – and at a time when the requirements are simpler than usual.

Johnson notes that this article went viral in the U.K. on Friday.

If only we had an honest press. Instead, the U.S. media has aided and abetted a “Weekend at Bernie’s” presidency. And rather than being a comedy, it’s a national disgrace.

Steve Bannon Asks When the Transition from Biden to Harris Will Begin

Advertisements

In a podcast last week, The War Room’s Steve Bannon discussed Biden’s cognitive condition with Mike McCormick, who served as then-Vice President Joe Biden’s White House stenographer for six years, and Raheem Kassam, the editor of The National Pulse.

Bannon stated the obvious, that President Joe Biden’s decline is real and that the time has come for the transition of power to Vice President Kamala Harris.

He noted that Harris has been filling in for Biden in roles normally reserved for the commander-in-chief, even holding conversations with heads of state.

Kassam observed, “She’s [Harris] living at Blair House which is super close to the White House. She’s not up at the Naval Observatory. The excuse is it’s under renovations. … She’s right there. She’s following him around. And she’s not following him around like a puppy. She’s stalking him like the grim reaper.”

“Joe Biden is lost in the White House,” said McCormick. “I just have this vision of him shuffling around in the residence in a bathrobe and slippers when he should be doing his job.”

In April 2019, Biden returned to the national stage to launch his presidential campaign. We hadn’t seen him since the final days of the Obama Administration, two years earlier. Time had taken its toll on Biden. Although it may have been difficult at that point to say that he was slipping into dementia, it was clear that something was amiss with the man who would become the U.S. president.

Another two years have passed since that time and his cognitive decline is obvious to everyone except, of course, those who have a vested interest in maintaining the lie.

Joe Biden is not okay. Watch the clip below from his remarks following the passage of the COVID-19 relief bill on Saturday.

Coincidentally, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, a Republican, joined Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on her Sunday program.

Bartiromo asked Gaetz if a transition may already be in progress. “What is going on? Are we getting ready for some kind of a transition?”

Gaetz replied, “You have to wonder whether or not the transition to Harris has already begun. Joe Biden’s had more nap time than he’s had questions from reporters…”

Biden Signs Executive Order to ‘Expand Voting Access’ on Anniversary of ‘Bloody Sunday’

Advertisements

President Joe Biden is contemptible. Just as he chose the anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting several weeks ago to introduce gun control laws, he used the anniversary of “Bloody Sunday” to announce his latest power grab executive order to expand voting access.

As The War Room’s Steve Bannon said on his podcast last week, Biden’s eyes look dead.

He slurs his way through the words that appear on the teleprompter before him.

“The blood of [the late congressman and civil rights icon] John Lewis and so many other brave and righteous souls that was spilled in Selma on this Sunday in 1965 sanctified a noble struggle,” Biden says.

“But there are those [us] who will do anything they can to take that power away. Today we have a hailstorm, not a rainstorm, a hailstorm. In 2020, our very democracy … on the line, in the midst of a pandemic, more Americans voted than ever before.”

He’s right about that. In fact, in the state of Pennsylvania, so many people voted that there were 200,000 more ballots than people who voted!

“Multiple recounts in states and decisions of more than 60 cases from judges appointed by my predecessor, including at the Supreme Court, upheld the integrity of this historic election.”

That is not true. Those judges refused to review the cases brought by former President Trump’s legal team. They wouldn’t even look at the 1,000 affidavits of election observers who swore, under the penalty of perjury, that they had witnessed fraud.

“We’ve seen an unprecedented insurrection in our Capitol and a brutal attack on our democracy on January 6th.”

I would argue that we saw a brutal attack on our democracy on November 3.

He continues, “A never before seen effort to ignore, undermine and undo the will of the people. And to think of that and yet it’s been followed by an all-out assault on the right to vote in state legislatures all across the country.”

“You know, during the current legislative session, elected officials in 43 states have already introduced over 250 bills to make it harder for Americans to vote. We can … not … let … them … succeed.”

Biden emphasizes the importance of H.R. 1 which would make permanent all of the chicanery that handed him the presidency. He hopes that it passes the Senate.

“I also urge Congress to fully restore the Voting Rights Act named in John Lewis’ honor.

“Today, on the anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” I’m signing an executive order to make it easier for eligible voters to register to vote and improve access to voting.”

Yes, because it’s so onerous to travel to our local precincts, show our drivers’ licenses and cast our ballots.

Then, he discusses words he exchanged with John Lewis shortly before he passed. Lewis had told him to “finish the work.” And that’s what our noble president has vowed to do.

He is a disgrace.

In Texas to Assess Storm Damage, Biden Struggles To Speak, Loses Train of Thought

Advertisements

President Joe Biden can no longer make it through a public appearance without stumbling over words or losing his train of thought. On Friday, he and First Lady Jill Biden visited Texas to support residents of the Lone Star State TWELVE days after a freak storm crippled the power grid leaving millions without heat and even clean water.

Newsmax anchor Grant Stinchfield highlights two of Biden’s worst moments in his address to Texans.

At 0:30 in the video below, the President struggles as he introduces several state politicians: “Lizzie Panilli, uh, excuse me, Pannill, and uh, what am I doing here? I’m going to lose track here.”

He struggles again with his speech later on. “And, uh… Mayor Turner… My family spent a lot of time here in Houston by the way. And, uh, hey John Eddy, how are you buddy I didn’t see you there?… I could be known for as president. I would be the end, the president who end during his era ended cancer as we know it (cough).”

Conservative podcast host and Fox News contributor Dan Bongino appeared on “Hannity” last week. The two had been discussing the letter that nearly three dozen House Democrats had sent to Biden last Monday in which they urged him to “relinquish his sole authority to order the launch of nuclear weapons.”

The letter read: “Vesting one person with this authority entails real risks. Past presidents have threatened to attack other countries with nuclear weapons or exhibited behavior that causes other officials to express concerns about the president’s judgement [sic].”

This led to a discussion of why they believed this was necessary. Which led to – you guessed it – a discussion of Biden’s cognitive decline, something the mainstream media has been working hard to conceal.

In the video below, Bongino tells Hannity, “It was something I was getting from my sources. Sean, it gives me absolutely no joy in saying this. And I mean that. He is in real significant trouble, Joe Biden. And listen to me. Everyone around him. Everyone knows it. Everyone knows it. This is the scandal that they’re not telling you – how bad his condition really is. … I’m telling you from what I’m hearing from people in my network, everyone knows how bad it is. Everyone. It’s not a mystery, it is the worst kept secret in the White House.”

Hannity replies, “That would mean a cover-up… ”

Yes, that would mean a media cover-up.

Although right-wing media has been writing about Biden’s obvious dementia since he launched his presidential campaign in April 2019, no mainstream media outlet in the U.S. will go near this story. Last week, I posted here about Sky News Australia anchor Cory Bernardi’s brutally honest report on Biden’s condition.

I suppose the U.S. media will start reporting on it when they’re ready to push BIden aside to make room for Kamala.

Vice President Harris Calling on Heads of States; What’s Up?

Advertisements

The National Pulse reported on an unusual development in the Biden White House. Vice President Kamala Harris has recently called on two heads of state, a duty typically reserved for the President.

On February 1, Harris spoke to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. According to the readout from Trudeau’s office, “the Prime Minister looked forward to working with the U.S. administration on shared priorities, including fighting the COVID-19 pandemic through close collaboration on borders and access to vaccines, and to building back better. He also looked forward to strengthening the bilateral trading relationship and Canada-U.S. supply chains, and avoiding the unintended consequences of Buy America policies, for the benefit of people in both countries….The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of strengthening North American energy security.”

President Joe Biden had previously called Trudeau two days after his inauguration. And a bilateral meeting between the two is scheduled for later this month.

On Monday, the White House released the readout from Harris’ call with French President Emmanuel Macron: The readout stated:

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke today with President Emmanuel Macron of France, and expressed her commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between the United States and France and to revitalizing the transatlantic alliance. Vice President Harris and President Macron agreed on the need for close bilateral and multilateral cooperation to address COVID-19, climate change, and support democracy at home and around the world. They also discussed numerous regional challenges, including those in the Middle East and Africa, and the need to confront them together. The Vice President thanked President Macron for his leadership on the issue of gender equality and for France’s contribution to NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover.

Biden spoke to Macron on January 24.

A report in The Epoch Times says that “vice presidents rarely call heads of state. The last vice president, Mike Pence, did not share calls with Trudeau or Macron, though he visited in person with heads of state on a number of occasions. … The calls could be a sign that Harris will have an elevated position when compared to past vice presidents, particularly in matters of foreign policy.”

The calls could also be a sign that the President is not up to the job. When Biden returned to the national stage in April 2019, his cognitive problems were apparent to many of us. And since that time, America has watched Biden slide slowly into dementia.

Joe Biden is not okay. He may appear to be okay when he’s reading from a teleprompter, but when he speaks freely, something his handlers rarely allow to happen, he often stumbles badly.

But Biden’s performance in office was never a concern for the Democrats, who wanted only to drag him over the finish line.

Last March, after Biden had taken a decisive lead in the Democratic primary, Alex Wagner, co-host of Showtime’s “The Circus” and a contributor to The Atlantic, gave away the game.

In an op-ed entitled “Stay Alive, Joe Biden.” Wagner claimed that his cognitive condition did not matter because “Democrats need little from the front-runner beyond his corporeal presence.”

Wagner wrote:

Voters seem to have coalesced around Biden for his past—who they have known him to be for the past four decades in American politics—rather than for anything in his present. It’s as if Biden exists primarily as an idea, rather than an actual candidate.

Biden was never really convincing anyone on the stump—his political power at this point is an idea, held collectively, about how to defeat Trump. The work now is to keep that idea convincing enough, for long enough, among as many people as possible, for the corporeal man to actually win.

Democrats have chosen Biden as their vessel for Trump’s defeat, and that choice is the entire point: The vanquishing matters more than anything else.

At the time, I thought the notion that Democrats could prop up a man, as in “Weekend at Bernie’s,” for what he once was, was sheer madness.

But it’s now mission accomplished and I think we can expect to see Harris glide seamlessly into the Oval Office.
