Biden Managed a Trifecta of Stupid in His Tulsa Massacre Speech

President Joe Biden traveled to Tulsa Oklahoma on Tuesday to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1921 Tulsa Massacre. His comments ranged from the ludicrous to the downright dangerous. We’ll start with the ludicrous.

In the clip below, Biden says: “You turn on the stations… I don’t know many commercials you see … two to three out of five have mixed race couples in them. That’s not by accident. They’re selling soap, man.”

Maybe he meant to say “hope” and mistakenly said “soap.” Perhaps I’m being overly critical and should have compassion for an old man who suffers from dementia. But can America really afford to have a leader with dementia?

This man is going to face Russian President Vladimir Putin in two weeks. And at some point, he’ll meet with the most dangerous, ruthless man on the planet, Xi Jinping.

Moving on, Biden said, “According to the intelligence community, terrorism from white supremacy is the most lethal threat to the homeland today. Not ISIS, not Al Qaeda, white supremacy. That’s not me. That’s the intelligence community.”

Well, if that’s what the intelligence community really concludes, they should all be fired and replaced.

Our President continues: “Look around at hate crimes against Asian Americans and Jewish Americans. Hate never goes away. Hate only hides. … My administration will soon lay out our broader strategy to counter domestic terrorism and the violence driven by the most heinous hate crimes and other forms of bigotry.”

I’m not denying that white supremacy is an evil ideology, but it is far from the most lethal threat we face. The most deadly threats to the U.S. are currently China, Russia, and the violence caused by gangs and the drug cartels which the Biden Administration’s open border policy has just exacerbated. Any threat assessment that leaves out all of the above is disingenuous.

The President needs to take a closer look at the statistics which show that black Americans commit, both proportionately and in number, far more hate crimes against Asian Americans than any other race.

And it’s not only white supremacists who are behind the recent spate of anti-Semitic attacks in the U.S. The flag-bearing, pro-Palestinians we’re seeing in the news don’t look all that white to me.

Consider the blatant anti-Semitic statements coming from Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the tolerance of those remarks by a large portion of other party members. And, in case Biden was wondering, the world noticed his own rather tepid support of Israel during the recent hostilities with Hamas.

Anti-Semitic sentiment in the U.S. is NOT coming from the Republican Party that Biden’s comments were targeting.

Biden leaves out the Democrats’ war against whites. I would argue that the party’s embrace of wokeism might be the most serious threat of all. It’s certainly done more to divide Americans than anything else.

Biden then makes a very racist, insulting remark, although he won’t be called out for it. He said, “…young black entrepreneurs are just as capable of succeeding given the chance as white entrepreneurs are, but they don’t have lawyers, they don’t have accountants …” This comment is similar in substance to the Democrats’ argument that requiring voters to present ID suppresses the minority vote. This Democratic narrative is based on the assumption that blacks aren’t as smart or as capable as whites. I’ve never understood why blacks aren’t offended by that.

Biden, whose administration has done more to subvert America in less than five months than white supremacists could ever do, should not be lecturing us on what great nations do.

I’ll tell you what great nations don’t do. They don’t try to punish their citizens for atrocities that happened long before they were born. They don’t try to rewrite history. They don’t try to persecute their political enemies. Nor do they base their policy decisions on what will cement their power for generations to come.

The most dangerous threat we face today is our current government.

Biden Includes Russia, But EXCLUDES China from His Cybersecurity Executive Order; Why?

Photo Credit: Image by Pete Linforth from Pixabay

Cybercriminals launched a very serious attack on the Microsoft Exchange Server in March. After assessing the breach, the company’s “Threat Intelligence Center” concluded with “high confidence” the attack had originated in China, from the sophisticated Chinese hacking group, Hafnium, according to the MIT Technology Review. This group is said to have ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Outside cybersecurity experts agreed with Microsoft’s findings.

President Joe Biden signed an executive order on May 12, the purpose of which is “to improve the nation’s cybersecurity and protect federal government networks.” According to the White House fact sheet, “recent cybersecurity incidents such as SolarWinds, Microsoft Exchange, and the Colonial Pipeline incident are a sobering reminder that U.S. public and private sector entities increasingly face sophisticated malicious cyber activity from both nation-state actors and cyber criminals.”

The Washington Examiner’s Jerry Dunleavy finds it very strange that the Biden Administration has yet to acknowledge publicly that China is likely behind the cyberattack on the Microsoft Exchanger Server. He points out that, in April, the administration formally blamed the massive SolarWinds attack on Russia’s SVR, the country’s foreign intelligence service in a White House fact sheet.

Biden openly attributed the recent Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack to a hacker group called DarkSide which operates out of Russia.

That’s why the refusal of Biden Administration officials and agencies to name China as the source of the attack on the Microsoft Exchange Server strikes Dunleavy, actually many of us, as odd.

He is not exaggerating. Below, he describes the runaround he’s gotten from government agencies.

“A spokesperson for the National Security Agency told the Washington Examiner to reach out to the National Security Council. The NSC did not provide a comment. A spokesperson for DHS said to “please contact the FBI for help with this inquiry.” The FBI spokesperson said that “unfortunately, we do not have a comment.” A DOJ spokesperson said they “don’t have anything to share with you on this at this time.” A spokesperson for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said that “we do not have a comment on attribution.” And the Office of the Director of National Intelligence did not respond to a request for comment.”

At a March White House press briefing, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was asked if China was responsible for the Microsoft attack.

Sullivan replied, “I’m not in a position, standing here today, to provide attribution. But I do pledge to you that we will be in a position to attribute that attack at some point in the near future. And we won’t hide the ball on that. We will come forward and say who we believe perpetrated the attack.”

Except that they haven’t. No individual or agency within the administration will acknowledge the obvious.

Much of China’s progress been gained through theft.

Though tensions between the U.S. and China didn’t boil over until the pandemic hit, the Chinese have been trying to gain superiority over us for decades. They’ve held their vision of becoming the world’s dominant super power in their collective consciousness for so long, their ill will toward the U.S. has become impossible to hide.

They will lie, cheat, steal, threaten and even kill to reach their goal. They’ve become the bully of the world.

Cyberattacks have become their weapon of choice in recent years. The Week addressed this topic in an article entitled, “The most famous Chinese cyberattacks: How hackers made China one of ‘the world’s pre-eminent cyber players.’”

“Used as methods of espionage, state-sponsored data breaches and server hacks pose a significant threat to global security and public safety.”

“Cybercrime worldwide has risen by 600% during the Covid-19 pandemic, according to research published by business insurance company Embroker. Analysts point to China as one of the main culprits. Even before the virus hit, China had overtaken Russia as the biggest state sponsor of cyberattacks against the West, research has found – although Beijing tells a very different story.”

Yet, Biden refuses to call them out after their massive cyberattack on a U.S. company.

Is Biden afraid of Xi Jinping? It certainly looks that way. What would explain the administration-wide circle of protection around China?

Last week, a video emerged of a renowned Chinese professor who embodies the goals of the CCP.

New York based blogger Jennifer Zeng obtained the video and provided the translation of the professor’s remarks. Ping Chen told the group:

“In 2020, China won the trade war, science and technology war, and especially the biological war. The achievement is unprecedented. This is an epoch-making historical record. So for the liberal, America-worshiping cult within China, their worship of the US is actually unfounded. After this trade war and biological warfare, the US was beaten back to its original shape.”

“So I think Trump’s attempt to restore the declining international status of the US during his four years has failed. This failure is not only the failure of Trump’s personal campaign for re-election as president, but also the failure of the neo-liberalism-led globalization of the past four decades led by the US and the UK. Therefore, the development and modernization model of the US and Europe is not worthy of China’s imitation and repetition.”

Zeng directs readers to Ping’s curriculum vitae and a clip of his remarks.

Biden’s silence in the face of China’s crimes against America is a direct threat to U.S. national security.

Does anyone in his administration care?

Satellite Images Showing Massive New Hangar Added to Remote Chinese Military Base Raise Eyebrows

Over the last few years, satellite images have picked up the construction of a massive hangar near “Luhe-Ma’ana,” a Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) bomber base located approximately 30 miles north of Nanjing in eastern China. The new facility is surrounded by high-security fencing and is “detached” from the main base.

Joseph Trevithick, who writes a column called The War Zone, has obtained satellite images of the progress of its development via Planet Lab and Google Earth, and provides some insight into what its purpose might be. He has included many of these photos in his report.

The images show that work on this “mysterious secluded facility” began in 2017. Trevithick estimates the hangar to be 265 feet long by 245 feet wide, and three stories high.

He believes that “the remote nature of the installation and its fortified perimeter indicate that it is used to support sensitive work.”

There are two layers of fencing around the perimeter. According to Trevithick, there are “guard towers and lights along the northern edge, and gates on the taxiway … that lead to Luhe-Ma’an’s main runway.”

He explains that the facility emerged “ahead of reports that one of the units at this base, the 30th Air Regiment, appeared to be operating the WZ-8, a large high-speed and high-flying rocket-powered spy drone designed to be launched in mid-air from the H-6N missile carrier aircraft. The construction has also come amid persistent rumors about the imminent public debut of China’s H-20 stealth bomber.”

“The primary aircraft based at Luhe-Ma’an are variants of the H-6 bomber, itself derived from the Soviet Tu-16 Badger, including the H-6H, H-6J, and H-6M missile carrier versions.”

Trevithick compared satellite images of this extension to existing ones at other PLAAF bomber bases, “but none of them have the same level of associated infrastructure and security measures, or as are secluded and highly developed, as the one seen at Luhe-Ma’an.”

Trevithick is skeptical that this new structure is “simply an expansion of the base’s infrastructure given the distance from the main portion, the additional security perimeter, and the unique set of self-contained facilities there. Typically, these kinds of features point to areas of military bases where uniquely sensitive activities occur.”

He goes into great detail about the capabilities of the WZ-8 and notes that while it’s “no longer secret,” it’s sensitivity may warrant “more specialized facilities, such as the ones at Luhe-Ma’an.”

And he points out that the location of these facilities in eastern China, provides them with “ready access to multiple areas of strategic significance in the western Pacific region.” Think Taiwan and Alaska.

Trevithick also speculates the new facility could potentially provide a new home for China’s still unveiled H-20 stealth bomber which “has reportedly been in development, at least on some level, since the early 2000s.” Though the Chinese have been very secretive about the H-20, it is “reported to be a flying wing-type design very roughly analogous to the U.S. Air Force’s B-2. The parking/runup area on the apron at the facility in question is roughly the same dimensions as the B-2.”

Reasons why this hangar may have been built to house the H-20, according to Trevithick, are its enhanced security and its ability “to fly, even just for test and evaluation purposes, from an established bomber base. A large hangar would be particularly useful to shield these aircraft from both prying eyes and the elements.”

He notes that the U.S. has built a similar facility at Edwards Air Force Base in California to prepare for the expected 2022 arrival of the B-21 Raider stealth bomber.

There’s also a chance, he says, it “is related, in some way, to the restoration of the PLAAF’s strategic nuclear mission, which formally occurred in 2017, according to the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).”

Or the Luhe-Ma’an facility could have been built for something else entirely. Whatever its ultimate purpose, Trevithick is convinced the construction of this hangar and “the other associated infrastructure hidden away within its security perimeter,” are an indication that “some significant and sensitive activity [is] going on at the base.”

While it’s not clear what exactly this is meant to house, it seems evident that civilian infrastructure is not the only thing undergoing rapid construction in the country. Military installations are being expanded and hardened as China surges again. Hangers are just as important as the aircraft they house – these hold the tools, parts, fuel, and experts that keep the warplanes in service.

Regardless of what this facility was built for, it’s simply one more sign of China’s insatiable hunger for domination. It needs to be checked. And if not by the U.S., then by whom.

This is a time for strength. And we are being led by a buffoon.

Biden Issues India Travel Ban Despite Assuring Us This Was a Racist and Xenophobic Response Last Year

During the Friday White House briefing, Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced that, starting at midnight on Tuesday, May 4, the U.S. will begin restricting travel from India.

“The policy will be implemented in light of extraordinarily high COVID-19 caseloads and multiple variants circulating in India.” Psaki told reporters.

She added that the administration was acting “on the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”

CNN reports:

The administration will issue a 212(f) order restricting entry into the US for foreign nationals who have been in India within the previous 14 days, a source familiar with the move said. Airlines have been told of the decision, a source said.

The policy will not apply to American citizens, lawful permanent residents or other people with exemptions. As with all international travelers, individuals who fit that criteria traveling from India must still test negative prior to leaving the country, quarantine if they have not been vaccinated and test negative again upon reentering the US from India. The restrictions also do not apply to humanitarian workers.

According to data website Worldometers, on March 31, India had recorded a total of 12,220,669 cases. The total through Thursday, April 29, stands at 18,754,984. The country has added 6,534,315 cases, a 53.5 percent increase during the month of April.

The Biden Administration’s decision to restrict travel from India as COVID-19 cases spike is perfectly understandable.

But we would be remiss if we didn’t point out what then-United States government official Joe Biden had to say last year after former President Donald Trump enacted travel restrictions from China and Europe.

In the Feb. 1, 2020, tweet below, Biden wrote: “We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus. We need to lead the way with science — not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering. He is the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health emergency.”

A month later, he wrote: “A wall will not stop the coronavirus. Banning all travel from Europe – or any other part of the world – will not stop it.”

So, Joe, were you right then or are you right now? It can’t be both.

Remember the Alamo? Biden Administration Fires the Opening Salvo in its Hit on Texas

The Biden Administration has moved on from its assault on Georgia to Texas. Its decision to rescind a Medicaid Waiver Extension which had been granted by the Trump Administration and scheduled to run through 2030, will impact the health care of many uninsured Texas residents. Consider this the opening salvo in the administration’s battle to prevent the state from adopting tighter voter ID laws.

As the administration continues to spend millions of taxpayer dollars to house, feed and provide healthcare for the throngs of illegal immigrants flooding into our country unlawfully, it is withholding critically needed funds to care for Americans.

Democrats have another 18 months before the 2022 midterms and pretty sure they’ll lose their lock on power, they’re making the most of it. They’ll use this time to try to beat state legislatures into submission. Although they control the presidency and both chambers of Congress (albeit by the slimmest of margins), they don’t control the states. Since Republicans control the majority of state legislatures, they’ll use tactics like this.

One of my readers from the great state of Texas sent me this statement from Republican Gov. Greg Abbott. He wrote: “Biden’s disregard for Texas will ensure it remains Red for the foreseeable future. Now we need to get rid of Sheila Jackson Lee…”

Biden and his henchmen would do well to remember that Texans don’t like heavy handed tactics.

Governor Abbott Statement On Biden Administration Reversal Of 1115 Medicaid Waiver Extension: April 16, 2021

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today issued a statement after the Biden administration rescinded a 10-year 1115 Medicaid waiver extension that was granted by the previous administration. This extension, which was scheduled to run through 2030, would have provided critical healthcare funding, including funds for uncompensated care.

“By rescinding this waiver extension, the Biden administration is obstructing healthcare access for vulnerable Texans and taking away crucial resources for rural hospitals in Texas,” said Governor Abbott. “The State of Texas spent months negotiating this agreement with the federal government to ensure vital funds for hospitals, nursing homes, and mental health resources for Texans who are uninsured. With this action, the Biden administration is deliberately betraying Texans who depend on the resources made possible through this waiver.”

Tucker Carlson: Gun Control Is Not About Guns, It’s About Who Controls America

Advertisements
Photo Credit: Image by Brett Hondow from Pixabay

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson cut right to the core of the gun control issue in his opening monolog on Thursday. Regardless of all the chatter, it’s not about the guns he tells viewers. “It’s about who controls America.”

Earlier in the day, President Joe Biden had delivered a speech announcing a series of executive orders his administration hopes will reduce the so-called “gun violence public health epidemic.” I suppose it won’t be long before CDC Director Rochelle Walensky adds this to her list of new public health threats as she did with racism last week, but I digress.

(Note: The “Biden-Harris” Administration’s six initiatives are outlined on their website here.)

Biden told his audience, “Nothing I’m about to recommend impinges on the Second Amendment. There are phony arguments suggesting that these are Second Amendment rights at stake, for what we’re talking about. No Amendment to the Constitution is absolute.”

That’s not what the Constitution tells us. The right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.” Carlson said that “according to Joe Biden, that’s not an absolute right, despite what the text says. No, that right is subject to his approval and his interpretation. Joe Biden is in charge of the Constitution now. Joe Biden defines its terms.”

And, just as the President had lied about what was actually in the Georgia voting reform bill two weeks ago, he lied about current gun laws. Biden said that firearms purchased at gun shows were exempt from background checks and that gun manufacturers have total immunity against lawsuits. Both statements are false.

“Almost nothing Biden said was true. … It was a speech meant to mislead rather than to inform,” Carlson said. In fact, he noted, “The places in this country that have the most guns and the loosest controls on those guns also have the least gun violence and the fewest killings.”

The most powerful part of Carlson’s monolog is this:

Anyone who tries to restrict your legally owned firearms is not trying to make America safer. The point is to disarm you and strip you of your autonomy, your power, your right to self-defense. Gun control is not about guns. Gun control is about who controls America. Is it the population, as in a democracy, or does all control go to a small group of authoritarians, as in an oligarchy? Those are the stakes in the gun control debate. It’s not about guns, it’s about who runs the country.

Carlson discussed Biden’s ban on “stabilizing braces” which are “used by target shooters to hold heavy firearms” and owned by “up to 40 million law-abiding Americans.”

They play zero role in the murder epidemic now underway in our cities. Under Biden’s order, every one of those people will have to alert federal authorities and pay hundreds of dollars in fines for the crime of owning a harmless piece of plastic that was legal yesterday. If they don’t comply, Joe Biden’s federal authorities can drag them off in handcuffs, seize their property, and charge them with a felony.

So with a single stroke of a pen, Joe Biden just turned tens of millions of overwhelmingly Republican voters into criminals. Is it starting to make sense now? Think about that for a minute and you’ll begin to understand why the Democratic Party is so focused on what they call “weapons of war.” You might know them as semiautomatic, small-caliber sporting rifles that normal people use for hunting and target shooting and home defense.

He questions the Biden Administration’s focus on rifles, because pistols are used in the majority of homicides in the country. Citing 2019 FBI data, he said that of the 10,258 homicides that year, less than 500 involved rifles. “So criminals don’t use rifles. They’re not concealable. Maybe that’s why, in fact, more people were murdered with knives than with rifles.”

So if you actually cared about making the country safer and keeping people from getting murdered, you would target handguns in big cities. That’s where the murders are. That’s where the violence is. But the Biden administration is doing the opposite of this, the mirror image of this. The Biden administration is letting big city criminals go. People who use guns for violence are walking out of jail. And instead, the Biden administration is using the full force of government to disarm peaceful voters in zip codes that voted for Donald Trump. It is that simple.

Biden announced that he wants to ban what he called “assault weapons.” He was speaking about the AR 15, the single most popular sporting rifle in America. So the question is: If we banned so-called assault weapons, would the country become safer? We don’t need to guess about the answer because we tried this before under Bill Clinton. For ten full years, we banned assault rifles and then, by law, the Department of Justice studied the effects. Once that ban expired in 2004, gun homicides fell in almost every major city (again, you can look this up). So policies like this one are unhinged from reality, to put it gently.

Biden also introduced his nominee to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), David Chipman. I posted here about comments Chipman had made on social media which are certain to set off alarm bells among Republican senators.

Carlson believes Chipman is “a conspiracy nut.” Chipman was an ATF special agent at the time of the 1993 Waco Siege and had been involved in the operation. Yet he wrote on social media site Reddit that Branch Davidian members had shot down government helicopters, which wasn’t true. They had shot at the three helicopters, but none were shot down. Nor was anyone aboard those helicopters wounded.

In another Reddit post, Chipman wrote: “While at ATF, I conducted studies involving people who failed background checks to determine how many later committed crimes with a gun—many did. This is a perfect opportunity to arrest people before committing crimes rather than responding after the fact.”

Carlson repeated the words, “Arrest people before committing crimes.” He said, “That’s a new concept in American law, though the Chinese are highly familiar with it.”

So, it’s all about power, as is everything else this administration has thrust upon us in the last three months. They don’t even try to conceal it. We just have to hope that enough Americans who voted for Biden in November are concerned enough about the Democrats’ massive power grab to do something about it. The American people will speak in 2022 and if they make the right decision, the insanity will stop. Unfortunately, this administration already has and will continue to inflict enormous damage on the country.

Nancy Pelosi Tells a Whopper About Who’s Responsible for the Border Crisis

Advertisements
Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

We’ve come to expect hearing lies when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi opens her mouth. But even for Pelosi, her latest assessment of conditions at our southwest border was a whopper.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Pelosi had this to say about the largest influx of illegal immigrants flooding into the country in over 20 years. “I’m glad you asked that question in a larger sense instead of quoting the ridiculousness of the Republicans in the Congress. The fact is – is that we’re on a good path at the border under the leadership of President Biden. … It’s about restructuring how we do what is happening there because we were in a very bad situation under the Trump Administration. It’s about a refugee plan. …”

The fact is, Nancy Pelosi, that you are lying through your teeth. And it says everything about the press in America today that not one reporter had the courage to stand up and tell her so.

Even Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, who voted against President Trump in the second impeachment trial, told Fox News’ Chris Wallace last month that “You can’t help but notice that the administration changes and there is a surge.”

According to The Washington Post, “U.S. agents took more than 171,000 migrants into custody” in March.

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson noted that’s a 418 percent increase from March 2020.

A guest on Carlson’s program pointed out that if U.S. agents took 171,000 illegals into custody, the true figure of individuals coming into the country is even higher. This data doesn’t account for the “gotaways,” those who are not detected by U.S. officials.

No one knows the true number of illegals who are currently living in America. For years, we’ve been told it’s 11 million. Funny how that figure hasn’t changed in 20 years, isn’t it?

I’ve heard estimates of 22 million and even 29 million. And 2 million more will likely be added in 2021.

Carlson addressed this issue in his opening monolog on Tuesday: “How high is the actual figure? It’s high enough to change this country forever in every conceivable way. It’s high enough to devalue your political power as a voter. It’s high enough to subvert democracy itself. It’s high enough to make this country a different place. But again, we don’t know the number. We absolutely have the right to know. We should demand to know.”

The Washington Post reports:

Last month, CBP took in more than 18,800 unaccompanied minors, a 99 percent increase from February and a figure far above the previous one-month high of 11,861 in May 2019. The jump in the number of migrants arriving as part of family groups was even steeper last month, soaring to more than 53,000, up from 19,246 in February and 7,294 in January, the preliminary figures show.

Suffice it to say, Pelosi’s claims to reporters were undeniably false.

But the lying didn’t end there. In the clip below, she tells a second lie to the same group about the Trump Administration’s handling of COVID. This is fodder for a later post.

America truly is in crisis.

Psaki Confirms Biden Will Sign Gun Control Executive Orders on Thursday; Come and Take It

Politico reported on Wednesday morning that President Joe Biden will be signing several gun control executive orders on Thursday. This report was confirmed by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki at today’s daily briefing.

The report says that Biden has been pressured by Democratic lawmakers, supporters and others to take action against our Second Amendment rights.

According to Politico:

Over 100 House Democrats wrote to Biden urging him to take action on the concealed assault-style firearms, which is similar to the one used in the Colorado shooting.

Biden will direct the administration to begin the process of requiring buyers of so-called ghost guns — homemade or makeshift firearms that lack serial numbers — to undergo background checks, according to three people who have spoken to the White House about the plans. He is expected to be joined at the event by Attorney General Merrick Garland. Other executive actions remain unclear. But stakeholders have speculated that the president could announce regulations on concealed assault-style firearms; prohibitions on firearm purchases for those convicted of domestic violence against their partners; and federal guidance on home storage safety measures.

Gun ownership in America continues to hit record levels. USA Today reports that Americans purchased close to 40 million firearms in 2020. Those figures sounded high to me, so I checked several other sites and they are indeed accurate.

Business Insider reports:

The FBI processed a record 39.7 million firearm background checks in 2020, beating previous highs by more than 10 million.

Roughly 8.5 million people across the US purchased their first firearm in 2020, a significant portion of total gun sales, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

Gun sales in the U.S. exploded in March 2020 after President Trump announced our first two week lockdown. They shot up (no pun intended) again following the death of George Floyd and the violence that followed. Biden’s victory triggered an additional round.

In January, another 4.1 million firearms were purchased, setting a year-over-year record. Liberal websites claim that Americans were looking for security after the “insurrection” that occurred on January 6. I don’t believe that. More likely, people wanted to buy a gun before Biden took office.

In February, gun sales dipped by about 10 percent. Sales came roaring back in March, however they failed to reach the record set in March 2020.

Gun control bills are extremely difficult to pass through Congress. In addition to nearly solid Republican opposition, some Democratic lawmakers, such as Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Jon Tester of Montana, oppose these bills as well.

Cruz was spotted at Biden’s inauguration ceremony wearing a mask adorned with Texas’ famed “Come and Take It” logo, a phrase made famous by the Battle of Gonzales, which “marked the first military fight of the Texas Revolution in 1835,” according to the Houston Chronicle.

Speaking before members of the NRA in 2018, former President Donald Trump recounted the story of the Battle of Gonzales, Breitbart reported.

“In 1835, soldiers from General Santa Anna’s army marched into the little Texas town of Gonzales and ordered those Texans to surrender their small cannon that they relied on to protect their lives and protect their homes,” he said. “The Texans refused! They were not about to give up their only means of self-defense.

“In response, Santa Anna’s army returned with a large group of additional people. They had men all over the place … [but] this time, they were met by dozens of Texans … who had rushed to Gonzales to defend their rights and their freedom.

“As Santa Anna’s men watched from a distance, those brave Texans raised a flag for all to see. On the banner, they painted a cannon along with four words that echoed through the ages. It said, ‘Come and Take It.’”

Biden’s Dementia Aside, We Really Have to Question The Wisdom of a President Who Singles Out an Entire State

Advertisements
Photo Credit: Image by David Mark from Pixabay

I was surprised that a U.S. president would even suggest that MLB commissioner Rob Manfred pull the All-Star Game out of Atlanta. But I was gobsmacked when he opened the door to moving the Masters out of Georgia and then went on to cite the state’s new Jim Crow laws in his response. What do we make of a president who singles out an entire state?

Even before dementia began taking its toll on Joe Biden, he was never what one might consider a smart man. Nor was he ever a particularly honest man. But the ease with which he has embraced the radical left’s agenda is stunning.

On Tuesday, a reporter asked, “Mr. President, do you think the Masters golf tournament should be moved out of Georgia?”

“I think that’s up to the Masters. … It is reassuring to see for profit operations and businesses are speaking up about how these new Jim Crow laws are just antithetical to who we are. … The best way to deal with this is for Georgia and other states to smarten up. Stop it. Stop it.”

Um. Didn’t The Washington Post just give him Four Pinocchios for these precise comments last week?

Biden is well aware that he owes his victory to the explosion in mail-in voting and the lax oversight of absentee ballots in November. We get that he’s trying to discourage other states from strengthening their voter ID requirements, but he’s the President of the United States. And he’s lying through his teeth.

He has singled out the state of Georgia. A state in which top Republican officials, including anti-Trumpers Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, were key to his victory.

Biden’s remarks influenced the decision of the MLB commissioner to pull the All-Star Game out of Atlanta, a city which has a black population of over 50 percent. As a result, the city will lose approximately $100 million in expected revenue.

The game will now be played in Denver, Colorado, which has a black population of 9 percent. The state also requires voter ID.

The candidate who campaigned on uniting the country after “the divisiveness” of the Trump Administration, has become the most divisive president we’ve ever had.

But, from the President to the MLB commissioner, they all keep spouting the lies.

What is new (sort of) is that we’re seeing corporations joining the fray. Last week, Delta, American and United Airlines all condemned Georgia for passing election reform legislation.

University of Tennessee professor Glenn Reynolds, better known to conservatives as “Instapundit,” appeared on Fox News’ “Primetime” on Tuesday to make some sense of this.

Host Mark Steyn asked Reynolds, “Why has the business world suddenly turned super Bernie Sanders, AOC left?”

Reynolds explains: “The thing you have to understand first is none of this has anything to do with justice or fairness or concern for the well-being of black people or anyone else. It’s all about power.  Woke politics is the state religion of the corporate oligarchs now and they use it to enhance their own power and to suppress their opponents. That’s all it’s about. Everything else is noise. And that’s why it doesn’t make sense, because it’s not meant to make sense. It’s just meant to procure compliance. They hope you’ll just be afraid.”

“How do you push back against it? If you’ve got American, United and Delta all going woke, what do you do? Boycott them and take the Greyhound?” asked Steyn.

“Honestly, you should do what the left does which is you make life unpleasant for their CEOs and other corporate officers. Don’t waste your time with economic boycotts. Send buses full of protestors to the CEO’s house and go to their shareholder meetings and make a big stink and you generally do stuff that reduces their quality of life. The left has done this and it’s worked for them. I think the right is starting to do that and Republican governors are starting to really push back on this in a formidable way for the first time really,” Reynolds said.

In short, we need to start using their tactics against them. We can make a difference. We already have.

FBI Issues Warning Not to Buy or Make Vaccine Card or Misrepresent Your Status, You May Be ‘Breaking the Law’

There was a time when the FBI commanded Americans’ utmost respect. That was prior to 2016 when they actively participated in a plan to sabotage the candidacy of Donald Trump and following his unexpected victory, his presidency. At every turn, top FBI officials sought to destroy President Donald Trump. I don’t need to compile a list, because their complicity is well known and speaks for itself.

Last week, the FBI issued a public service announcement warning U.S. citizens not to buy or make vaccine cards or misrepresent their COVID-19 vaccination status. The agency cautioned they may be breaking the law if they do so.

The FBI is, of course, referring to the recent Biden Administration proposal that citizens be issued a “vaccine passport” so they can travel freely throughout the country.

The requirement of a “vaccine passport,” which would indicate whether or not a person has been vaccinated against COVID-19 or alternatively tested negative within a stipulated time frame, is a violation of our civil rights. It’s just one more of the many travesties conjured up by Democratic politicians eager to wield their emergency powers against their constituents.

This proposal triggered immediate outrage from conservatives who are fed up with the government’s overreach and the loss of our civil rights in the name of COVID-19.

According to a weekend article in The New York Times, “the Biden administration has made clear that it will neither issue nor require the passports,”

So, why would the nation’s premier law enforcement agency try to enforce this? Why did this warrant a warning about breaking the law? It’s not even a law. It’s a mere proposal and a deeply unpopular and divisive one at that.

Is it any wonder that so many red state governors vehemently oppose vaccine passports?

On Friday, Florida’s Republican Gov. Rick DeSantis issued an executive order “prohibiting the use of so-called COVID-19 vaccine passports. The Legislature is working on making permanent these protections for Floridians and I look forward to signing them into law soon.” The order can be viewed here.

The document states that vaccination records are “private health information which should not be shared by mandate.” In addition, they “reduce individual freedom and harm patient privacy.”

The order also states that businesses in Florida are “prohibited from requiring patrons or customers to provide any documentation” about their COVID-19 vaccination status.

All I know is that we the people need to stand up and fight against the tyranny the Biden Administration is trying to thrust upon us. We must do this loudly and often.

Last week, the Democratic House candidate from IA-02 who lost the election to her Republican opponent by six points withdrew her bid to have the election overturned by a Democrat controlled House committee. The candidate, Rita Hart, had the full support of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She didn’t withdraw because she realized it was wrong to try to steal a seat in Congress. Hart withdrew because the “disinformation campaign from the right wing media” became intolerable to her.

From that, we must learn a larger lesson. If we’re loud enough and persistent enough, we can make a difference.

Memo to the FBI:  Why don’t you get your own house in order, maybe catch a few real criminals before you try circulating something so tone-deaf, unwelcome and unnecessary like this again.
