Biden Says He ‘Inherited One God-Awful Mess at the Border’

During a Friday interview on NBC News’ “Today Show” with co-host Craig Melvin, President Joe Biden said his administration “inherited one God-awful mess at the border.” He blames it on “the failure to have a real transition — cooperation from the last administration, like every other administration has done.” I think even most Democrats realize the stunning dishonesty of these remarks.

“The two departments that didn’t give us access to virtually anything [during the transition] were the immigration and the Defense Department,” Biden told Melvin. “So we didn’t find out they had fired a whole lot of people, that they were understaffed considerably.”

Melvin pointed out that in April, 170,000 people had been apprehended at the border and that 22,000 unaccompanied minors are currently in the U.S. “That’s a record. That sounds to most folks like a crisis.”

“Well look, it’s way down now. We’ve now gotten control,” declared Biden. “For example, they didn’t plan for – it comes every year – this flow …  they didn’t have the beds that were available. They didn’t plan for the overflow. They didn’t plan for the Department of Health and Human Services to have places to take the kids …”

Not even Melvin appeared to be buying it.

Here’s the reason why tens of thousands of illegal immigrants have flocked to our southern border, Mr. President. You invited them. In fact, this was a central issue in your campaign. Your formal invitation can be found on your campaign website and it’s called “The Biden Plan for Securing our Values as a Nation of Immigrants.”

One of the Biden Administration’s first moves was to end former President Donald Trump’s “remain in Mexico” policy and to resurrect the Obama era policy of “catch and release.” Knowing that asylum seekers would be released into the U.S. after they’d been processed at the border to await their court dates was akin to putting up a large flashing neon invitation. “Come on over!”

No matter how hard the President tries to spin it, Americans know that Trump had this situation under control by the end of his term. All Biden had to do was maintain those policies.

Over the last several days, three Democratic senators have criticized Biden over the border crisis.

Following Biden’s State of the Union address, Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly said, “While I share President Biden’s urgency in fixing our broken immigration system, what I didn’t hear tonight was a plan to address the immediate crisis at the border, and I will continue holding this administration accountable to deliver the resources and staffing necessary for a humane, orderly process as we work to improve border security, support local economies, and fix our immigration system.”

In a statement to Fox News, Kelly’s colleague from Arizona, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s office wrote, “Sen. Sinema has been clear that she – along with Sen. Kelly – wants to see more action from the administration to address the border crisis and support Arizona border communities. She’s spoken directly with administration officials on this.”

Even Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii was forced to admit that Vice President Kamala Harris, whom Biden has tasked with leading the White House response to the “migration challenge,” needs to do more.

During an interview on PBS News’ “Firing Line,” host Margaret Hoover asked Hirono (whom she said was a “trailblazing lawmaker”), if she would urge Harris to visit the border.

“Of course,” Hirono replied.

Hoover asked why Harris hasn’t done so yet.

“I don’t know. Maybe — We have a few other things to deal with, like the pandemic and everything else, so I’m not going to point fingers at her in the sense of — I hope that she will go down to the border,” answered Hirono. “I hope that we can have a comprehensive, ‘whole of government’ approach to what we need to do to have a humane immigration system.”

“According to an ABC News poll, the majority of Americans actually disapprove of President Biden’s handling of the border,” noted Hoover. “Senator, why is it so difficult for some to call the situation at the border a crisis?”

“I think the President calls it a crisis. I would call it a crisis. We can call it a challenge. But we know what the factors are. We know what is happening. So whatever you call it, we’re going to need to deal with it. We’re going to need to address it in a humane way.”

So why will no one in the Biden Administration take action to end the border crisis? Conservative commentator Candace Owens provided the best answer I’ve ever heard during a March appearance on Fox News’ “Life, Liberty and Levin.” I posted about this interview here.

Owens begins with an explanation of how the Democratic Party, which claims to help blacks through all of their social programs, has actually suppressed them. While it may appear on the surface that Democrats have supported blacks by providing for them financially and rhetorically, their “largesse” has actually been a mechanism designed to hold them back, preventing them from taking the reins and succeeding, from breaking out of the cycle of poverty. Most blacks see only that Democrats are more generous than Republicans and have loyally supported them at the polls for decades. Many of us have known this for a long time.

Owens larger point, however, is that the black population has not grown fast enough for the Democrats. So, they are now “importing” a new class of voters. Democrats will ensure these people receive health care and that they are housed, fed and even educated. The party will see to it that the illegals now flooding into the U.S. from Central and South America in record numbers will become completely dependent on them for their survival.

Just as the majority of blacks continue to vote Democratic, so too will the Hispanics. The cycle of poverty will repeat itself.

“Everyone keeps calling this a border crisis Mark. This isn’t a border crisis, this is a border plan,” Owens tells Levin.

“They are trying to import a new class of voters. They are trying to say to the Mexican-Americans, to the South-Americans … ‘we will help you, we’ll give you free stuff like we gave black Americans free stuff after Jim Crow ended. We’re gonna welfare-ize you. We’re gonna give you handouts, we’re gonna marry you to the government like we married black Americans to the government.’ It’s pure evil.”

So, in response to Biden’s feeble attempt to blame the Trump Administration for the border crisis: Everyone knows the Biden Administration caused the border crisis. The policy changes were made to encourage large numbers of illegals to enter the U.S. All of this was intentional. And everything seems to be going according to plan.

The View From Down Under: Australian News Anchor Delivers a Second Brutal Review of the Biden Administration [Update]

Update: Another Sky News Australia anchor torches Biden. Scroll down for Alan Jones’ monolog.

It’s time for the Biden Administration and the U.S. establishment media to understand that they aren’t fooling the rest of the world with the farce they work so hard, day in and day out, to perpetuate. The world knows that President Joe Biden has dementia and that the media is working hard to cover up for him.

In February, Sky News anchor (and former member of parliament from South Australia) Cory Bernardi took aim at Biden for the first time. He began his monolog by telling viewers, “Never before has the leader of the free world been so cognitively compromised. It’s clear to me at the least that US President Joe Biden is struggling with dementia and is clearly not up to the task he’s been sworn in to do.” (Australian TV Host Delivers Brutally Honest Report on Biden’s Dementia: Calls Out US Media for ‘Biden Protection Racket’)

Two weeks later, another Sky News anchor, also from Australia, went off on Biden. (Second Australian Anchor Smokes the U.S. Media’s ‘Errant Hypocrisy’ Regarding Biden; Biden Just ‘Blunders On’)

Shortly after that, a Brit hopped on the bandwagon. (Two Honest Aussies, and Now a Brit, Report What Our Own Media Will Not.)

A couple of days ago, Bernardi was back with a progress report. Suffice it to say that neither Biden, nor his inner circle, fared any better this time around.

In the video below, Bernardi offers his second scathing assessment of the Biden Administration which he calls a true to life mockumentary.

He unmercifully critiques everyone from “Cackling Kamala” to “Crazy Nancy” and does not hesitate to point out the oddities and hypocrisies that the U.S. media refuses to touch. Watch the video below and you’ll wish Bernardi worked for CNN.

(Spoiler: Biden has not improved the United States’ standing in the eyes of the world.)

Lo and behold, as I was clicking around for news, I came across an update from Alan Jones, the other Australian anchor to torch Biden last month. Jones said that the “Leader of the Free World is incoherent, having to be propped up physically and intellectually … After the stumble, the websites of MSNBC, CBS News, the Washington Post, Lost Angeles Times and the New York Times all had no mention of Biden’s stumbling incident.”

Jones continued: “To prove the Trump point, when it came to airtime on television, CNN devoted 15 seconds to the incident. … But when Trump walked slowly down a ramp after he delivered a graduation address last June, CNN devoted 22 minutes to Trump’s walk, the media pushing the line that Trump – 74 – was facing serious health question.”

The U.S. media and the current occupant of the White House are international laughing stocks.

The Mexican Cartels Have Evolved Over the Last Decade; Border Crisis Deniers Near to Hear the Grim Reality

Political analyst Robert Reich, a former Clinton Administration Cabinet secretary, wrote an article which surprisingly spent the day at the top of RealClearPolitcs’ trending list. The piece is entitled, “Republicans are fabricating the border crisis.” He writes: “Republicans are outraged — outraged! — at the surge of migrants on the southern border.”

After mocking the reactions of several prominent Republicans, Reich declares, “In fact, there’s no surge of migrants at the border. … The ‘surge’ has been fabricated by Republicans in order to stoke fear.”

A little further down the list was an article about AOC’s viral rebuke of anyone calling the surge at our southern border, a surge. “She tells us: “Anyone who is using the term ‘surge’ around you consciously is trying to invoke a militaristic frame. … This is not a surge. These are children and they are not insurgents.”

On Thursday, she continues even further down denial river and says: “What is happening here is not the same as what happened during the Trump administration, where they took babies out of the arms of their mothers.”

Both clips can be viewed below.

She might be surprised to hear that an infant was flung from a boat into the Rio Grande this week, and men were photographed tossing two toddlers, aged three and five, over the border wall and abandoned.

In the meantime, neither our feeble President Joe Biden (it still pains me to write that), nor his heir apparent, will admit that a crisis exists.

Fox News contributor Lara Logan, who is deeply familiar with the disaster unfolding on our southwest border, joined Sean Hannity on Wednesday night to inject some sanity into the conversation. Her remarks provide a glimpse into what’s happening on the other side of the border. This is the reality. (The segment can be viewed here.)

Logan finds Ocasio-Cortez’ remarks disturbing and fundamentally dishonest and she believes it’s meant to distract from “the real national security threat” at the border. Logan told Hannity:

Starting in around 2006, that was when the cartels in Mexico really transitioned from drug cartels … into an actual insurgency. If AOC knew anything about the history of Mexico and the cartels – at all – she wouldn’t throw that language around. Because there was a real insurgency in Mexico when President Calderón declared the war on drugs and war on the cartels. And in 2009, they [the cartels] transitioned to terrorism and that’s what they’ve been using ever since. That was when Los Zetas, a faction of the Gulf cartel, they broke off and established their own cartel. And one of the first things that they did, Sean, is massacre 72 illegal immigrants who were in a stash house in Mexico. And the next thing they did was kill over 300 Mexican civilians in the Allende Massacre. And the next great flashpoint that the U.S. failed to pay attention to was in 2015 when a new cartel, Jalisco New Generation, shot a Mexican military helicopter out of the sky.

These organizations have gone from drug organizations to insurgents to terrorists and they are now a parallel shadow government in Mexico. They’re the ones calling the shots and what you observe on the border is these cartels do not fear the U.S. government and they do not have to fear the Mexican government because they are calling the shots in Mexico…

They’re pushing as many people across as they want. It’s unbelievable numbers. You can call it whatever you like, but when four or five rafts are coming across at the same time and they are packed with people, and the smugglers are telling everyone hurry up, hurry up, hurry up, and they’re yelling out to people on the U.S. side that they’ve got 50 more, 100 more they’ve got to get back and that includes 23-day-old babies. You’ve got agents holding back because they don’t want these cartels to toss these kids into the river and kill them which is what they’ll do in a heartbeat. You’ve got agents who’ve rescued women who are being raped…

You’ve got kids with no shoes, many of them have never seen a doctor in their lives, some of them don’t even speak Spanish. They’ve come through a COVID hot spot.

And Sean, the numbers that we’re talking about, those are just the apprehensions, those aren’t the gotaways. Over 34,000 gotaways in the last month alone. Those are people who have just vanished, gone.

People have been coming across with little cards, and they have a routing number, an account number written there and that’s what the cartels were giving them to make sure that they get paid. One thing you can be sure of Sean, they will get paid. Now they have wristbands with a number that corresponds to a data base in Mexico. And they know everything about you. They can track you and they will hunt you down if you don’t pay them. They’ll cut their hearts out and eat them while they’re alive Sean. That’s the kind of thing they do. Cut their hearts out and eat it – and laugh – on tape.

Two Black Women Violently Attacked, Hurled Racial Insults at Korean Store Owner; Media Ignores it [Video]

Last week, a clearly disturbed 21-year-old white male killed eight women at three Atlanta-area massage parlors. Because six of those women were of Asian ethnicity, the media collectively and immediately began reporting this mass murder as the latest “hate crime” to be committed by a white supremacist against Asian Americans.

From President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to every MSNBC and CNN anchor, there was outrage. It was only when FBI Director Christopher Wray announced that the shootings did not appear to be racially motivated that the sermonizing from the left subsided.

An actual racially motivated attack against an Asian occurred in North Harris County, Texas last week. But you didn’t hear about it. With the exception of KPRC 2, a local media outlet, this attack was ignored by the media. Why? Because the perpetrators were black. It didn’t fit their narrative that all whites are racist.

Five black women entered a beauty supply store owned by Jung Kim, a 59-year-old Korean woman. After they knocked over several wig displays on purpose, Kim asked them to leave the store. The women left and then returned. They knocked over the displays again and two of them, Daquiesha Williams and Keaundra Young, began to violently “pummel” Kim as they “hurled racial insults” at her.

Kim was left with a severely broken nose which will require surgery to fix.

The attack, caught on the store’s surveillance camera, can be viewed in the video below.

Her son, who works in the store with her, tried to fight the women off his mother and received minor injuries.

KPRC 2 reporter Andy Cerota said the situation escalated from there. Kim’s husband arrived and the women tried to run over him with their car. This is also caught on camera.

None of us are surprised by this story or by the media’s failure to report it. Although the mainstream media has lost a great deal of credibility over the last few years, miraculously they still remain the primary source of news for many Americans.

Unfortunately, there are no immediate solutions. The large networks and newspapers are so powerful and so closely tied to Big Tech and the Democratic Party, it’s unlikely that we will see significant change anytime soon. (Please see my earlier post: The Introduction of Race as a Central Issue in American Politics Can Be Traced to an Aug 2019 Staff Meeting at The NY Times.)

The right wing media is small compared to the established media. The key will be to develop a large, parallel, conservative media. Former President Donald Trump’s plan to create a large social media company is just the ticket. The growth of companies like Newsmax (who I will soon be writing for!) OANN and others, will help bring about change as well.

In the meantime, we need to keep on putting the truth out there.

Black Lives Matter Group Marches to Rochester Store Shouting ‘We’re shutting s— down,’ Traps 100 Customers Inside

On March 23, 2020, police in Rochester, NY, received a report that a naked man under the influence of PCP was running through town, shouting that he had the coronavirus. When police tried to subdue him, he spit on them which caused them to place a mesh hood, otherwise known as a “spit sock” over his head. The man, Daniel Prude, was placed on the pavement and subdued for two minutes by police.

Prude, who had a history of mental illness, was black.

After Prude became unresponsive, he was resuscitated and brought to a hospital where he died one week later.

“The Monroe County Office of the Medical Examiner ruled Mr. Prude’s death a homicide. The autopsy report concluded he died of asphyxiation ‘in the setting of physical restraint’ and acute intoxication with the hallucinogenic drug PCP,” according to The Wall Street Journal.

In February, a New York grand jury voted against indictment of any of the police officers involved in the case.

Tuesday marked the one year anniversary of this incident, and a group of approximately 200 members of Black Lives Matter gathered for a protest. As they marched toward Wegmans, a popular Rochester grocery store, they shouted, “We have a long walk today. We’re shutting s— down.”

The Washington Examiner reported that, as the group approached the store, the owner locked it down, trapping around 100 customers inside.

The group banged on the glass doors and repeatedly chanted, “Black Lives Matter.”

In a tweet, Rochester journalist and radio host Bob Lonsberry wrote, “Hundreds of people trapped in the East Avenue #ROC Wegmans by this mob, The Rochester Police Department is just watching and letting it happen. I guess fire codes and trespassing aren’t things in Rochester anymore. What an embarrassing day for the city and the PD.”

He continued in a second tweet. “Allowing the mob to shut down the East Ave [Wegmans], trapping at least a hundred people, is an immoral failing by the mayor at @CityRochesterNY and the @RochesterNYPD. To kiss the a– of the mob, the rights of others are trodden, and the city dies even more.”

Rochester based journalist Justin Murphy spoke to one of the BLM protestors who said, “We’re more than just taxpayers in their capitalist system; we’re human beings, and we demand to be treated as such.”

They’re taxpayers? I’ll bet most of them pay little or no taxes. They’re human beings, and they demand to be treated as such? Need I even respond to the irony in that remark?

In the tweet below, Monroe County legislator Rachel Barnhart makes an equally stupid comment. “Reasonable people can debate tactics and messaging. It’s normal to be annoyed or inconvenienced if the grocery store is blocked off by protesters. But I care more about Black lives than Wegmans. The protest will end. The store will reopen. The injustice will go on.”

Barnhart’s comment is even more egregious than Carson’s, if possible. One would expect such an inane remark from a member of BLM. I am not a lawyer, but here’s a county legislator who overlooks the obvious crimes being committed, entrapment and threatening, for starters.

And she views the shoppers trapped inside as being “annoyed or inconvenienced” rather than frightened. BLM has a long history of violence. Any reasonable person in that situation would feel some degree of fear.

America defeated Nazi Germany and Japan’s Imperial Army. How do we fight the enemy from within? Especially now that they control the presidency and both chambers of Congress. The Democratic Party is fast becoming the greatest foe this nation has ever faced.

The Democrats are trying to destroy America. It’s as if they’re in command of our ship and they’re aiming it right for an iceberg at flank speed.

Tell me again how Jan. 6 was the most shameful day in America’s history..

Kamala Is Asked If She Plans to Visit the Border; She Responds with … Laughter?

As the situation at the border reaches crisis levels, neither President Joe Biden nor Vice President Kamala Harris have felt the necessity of traveling there to assess conditions. Perhaps doing so would be an admission that the crisis exists.

Whatever the reason, in the video below, Harris reacted rather strangely when a reporter asked her if she had plans to visit the border.

Initially, she appeared to be stunned by the question. Collecting herself, she replied, Uh … Um … Not today.” This was followed by laughter. Turning serious, she said, “I have before and I’m sure I will again. Yeah.”

I don’t think the Vice President actually finds the growing disaster funny. Her cackle, in my opinion, is a defense mechanism. When she is nervous, when she wants to deflect from an uncomfortable topic, she laughs. The reporter had obviously hit a nerve.

She has much to be defensive about. Former President Donald Trump had put in place smart policies to bring the situation under control and to keep it that way. This mess belongs to Biden and Harris. Surprisingly, many Democrats are now blaming them for the disaster that is unfolding before Americans’ eyes. Reports over the weekend from The Washington Post and CNN were very critical of the Biden Administration.

On Monday, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas sent a letter to Biden. Cruz and 14 of his senate colleagues will be traveling to the border to assess conditions and had asked the administration to grant press access to the reporters who will be joining them. This request was denied. Here are several excerpts from the letter:

There is a crisis at our southern border caused by your administration’s radical immigration policies. In 2019, former Obama DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson said, “I know that 1,000 [apprehensions per day] overwhelms the system and I cannot begin to imagine what 4,000 a day looks like.” But in response to your administration’s policies and rhetoric promising exceedingly lax enforcement and a path to citizenship for every illegal alien, Border Patrol agents are reportedly apprehending 4,500 to 6,000 illegal aliens per day.

Despite your administration’s refusal to admit that this is a crisis, the American people are beginning to understand the gravity of the situation.

But it is not enough for members of the Senate to see what is happening—the American people must see. That is why I requested that members of the media be allowed to join us. But your administration clearly and emphatically refused to offer press access. This is outrageous and hypocritical.

Denying the press the ability to observe, film, and report on the conditions at the border is not openness or transparency — it is hiding the truth from the American people. The press and the American people deserve more than denials and excuses from a podium.

On Monday, Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar, whose district sits on the U.S./Mexico border, published photos of a packed migrant facility in Donna, Texas.

Cuellar’s photos can be viewed here.

Media Blatantly Misreported the Atlanta Mass Murder Story; FBI Director Admits Race Wasn’t a Factor

On Tuesday, a clearly disturbed 21-year-old white male killed eight women at three Atlanta-area massage parlors. Because six of those women were of Asian ethnicity, the media collectively and immediately began reporting this mass murder as the latest “hate crime” to be committed by a white supremacist against Asian Americans.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, who were to make a stop in Atlanta on Friday on their “Help is here” tour to promote their boondoggle of COVID relief package, abandoned their original purpose and instead devoted the visit to lecture the American people about racism.

Biden allowed “President Harris” to do the talking. “These facts are clear,” she said. “Six out of the eight people killed on Tuesday night were of Asian descent. Seven were women. The shootings took place in businesses owned by Asian Americans. The shootings took place as violent hate crimes and discriminations against Asian Americans has [sic] risen dramatically over the last year…”

She couldn’t resist taking a shot at former President Donald Trump for what she wants us to believe is his role in this crime.

“Racism is a real in America. And it has always been. Xenophobia is real in America and always has been…The last year we’ve had people in positions of incredible power scapegoating Asian Americans. People with the biggest pulpits spreading this kind of hate,” Harris said.

For the repellent Nicolle Wallace over at MSNBC, there was no doubt this was a hate crime against Asian Americans. “I just keep thinking of that domestic terror alert warning we got shortly after the insurrection. It warned us that until the end of April, we’d be living under the threat of domestic violence extremism from a combination of White supremacists, militias and extremists who are angry about both the election results because of Donald Trump’s big lie and the COVID restrictions. I wonder if you can speak to the intersection of that group we were warned about publicly [Trump supporters] and the targeting of Asian Americans.”

On Thursday night, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson devoted his opening monolog to the left’s campaign to make this a hate crime. (Please scroll down to the bottom of the page to view.)

David Leebron, the president of Rice University in Texas, Carlson told viewers, “immediately issued a statement that got key facts about the killings completely wrong, not that facts were the point of the statement. The point was making that sure everyone understood the political lesson.”

Leebron declared that, “The deliberate use of such terms as ‘the China virus’ to foster bigotry has played a significant role. … Sadly and predictably, this escalation of racially-based hatred has led to violence.”

“Leebron is telling us it was all entirely predictable,” Carlson explained, “because once you describe a Chinese virus as Chinese, people are naturally going to start murdering Korean women. You could have seen that coming.”

Next, it was Harvard’s turn to get involved. Harvard administrators issued a statement which said, “For the past year, Asians, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have been blamed for the pandemic.”

“Once again,” Carlson notes, “if you dare note that the novel coronavirus came from Wuhan, a mentally ill sex addict is certain to shoot up a brothel in Atlanta.”

He reminded us that Harvard has “publicly admitted” denying “admission to Asian students precisely because they are Asian.” They were forced to do so after they’d been caught.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki hopped on board the freight train. She told reporters, “You know, I think there’s no question that some of the damaging rhetoric that we saw during the prior administration, blaming — you know, calling COVID, you know, the ‘Wuhan virus’ or other things led to, you know, perceptions of the Asian-American community that are inaccurate, unfair…”

After the shooter, Robert Long, was caught, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference. Captain Jay Baker told reporters, “The suspect did take responsibility for the shootings. He said that early on, once we began the interviews with him. He claims that these, and as the chief said, this is still early, but he does claim that it was not racially motivated. He apparently has an issue, what he considers sex addiction, and sees these locations as something that allows him to go to these places, and it’s a temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate.”

Carlson reviews the facts:

So the police took a long and detailed statement from Robert Long, and to restate, here’s what they found: Long immediately confessed to the crimes. But while he admitted to committing multiple murders — a death penalty offense in the state of Georgia — Long denied having any racial motivation. Instead, he told police he had a sex addiction and an “issue with porn,” and that he shot up massage parlors in an effort to eliminate his own temptation to visit them.

Police arrested Long as he was heading to Florida, where he said he’d planned to kill more people in the sex industry. So, Robert Long was fixated on prostitution and pornography, and that’s why he said he committed the murders.

The next day, information came to light that seemed to confirm his story. A man called Tyler Bayless said he shared a room with Long in a Georgia rehab facility last year. Bayless was there for drugs, but Long was there for sex addiction.

“It was something that absolutely would torture him,” Bayless said. While at the facility, Long frequently relapsed and went “to massage parlors explicitly to engage in sex acts.”

Moreover, in the following audio clip, FBI Director Christopher Wray tells NPR in a Thursday interview: “And while the motive remains still under investigation at the moment, it does not appear that the motive was racially motivated.”

So how did this story immediately become about race? Because the left decided it should and would be about race.

Substack’s Andrew Sullivan wrote an especially good column on Friday about the media’s manipulation of this story headlined, “When The Narrative Replaces The News: How the media grotesquely distorted the Atlanta massacres.”

We have yet to find any credible evidence of anti-Asian hatred or bigotry in [the killer’s] history. Maybe we will. We can’t rule it out. But we do know that his roommates say they once asked him if he picked the spas for sex because the women were Asian. And they say he denied it, saying he thought those spas were just the safest way to have quick sex. That needs to be checked out more. But the only piece of evidence about possible anti-Asian bias points away, not toward it.

And yet. Well, you know what’s coming. Accompanying one original piece on the known facts, the NYT ran nine — nine! — separate stories about the incident as part of the narrative that this was an anti-Asian hate crime, fueled by white supremacy and/or misogyny. Not to be outdone, the WaPo ran sixteen separate stories on the incident as an anti-Asian white supremacist hate crime. Sixteen! One story for the facts; sixteen stories on how critical race theory would interpret the event regardless of the facts. For good measure, one of their columnists denounced reporting of law enforcement’s version of events in the newspaper, because it distracted attention from the “real” motives. Today, the NYT ran yet another full-on critical theory piece disguised as news on how these murders are proof of structural racism and sexism — because some activists say they are.

This is how it happens. It becomes a group effort. Every major mainstream media outlet reports the same story based on an agreed upon set of talking points and it gets repeated over and over again until most Americans believe it. ‘But I read it in the New York Times!’

Once a story reaches that point, it becomes nearly impossible to establish the truth, although we do try. And we won’t stop trying.

Vice President Harris Calling on Heads of States; What’s Up?

Advertisements

The National Pulse reported on an unusual development in the Biden White House. Vice President Kamala Harris has recently called on two heads of state, a duty typically reserved for the President.

On February 1, Harris spoke to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. According to the readout from Trudeau’s office, “the Prime Minister looked forward to working with the U.S. administration on shared priorities, including fighting the COVID-19 pandemic through close collaboration on borders and access to vaccines, and to building back better. He also looked forward to strengthening the bilateral trading relationship and Canada-U.S. supply chains, and avoiding the unintended consequences of Buy America policies, for the benefit of people in both countries….The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of strengthening North American energy security.”

President Joe Biden had previously called Trudeau two days after his inauguration. And a bilateral meeting between the two is scheduled for later this month.

On Monday, the White House released the readout from Harris’ call with French President Emmanuel Macron: The readout stated:

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke today with President Emmanuel Macron of France, and expressed her commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between the United States and France and to revitalizing the transatlantic alliance. Vice President Harris and President Macron agreed on the need for close bilateral and multilateral cooperation to address COVID-19, climate change, and support democracy at home and around the world. They also discussed numerous regional challenges, including those in the Middle East and Africa, and the need to confront them together. The Vice President thanked President Macron for his leadership on the issue of gender equality and for France’s contribution to NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover.

Biden spoke to Macron on January 24.

A report in The Epoch Times says that “vice presidents rarely call heads of state. The last vice president, Mike Pence, did not share calls with Trudeau or Macron, though he visited in person with heads of state on a number of occasions. … The calls could be a sign that Harris will have an elevated position when compared to past vice presidents, particularly in matters of foreign policy.”

The calls could also be a sign that the President is not up to the job. When Biden returned to the national stage in April 2019, his cognitive problems were apparent to many of us. And since that time, America has watched Biden slide slowly into dementia.

Joe Biden is not okay. He may appear to be okay when he’s reading from a teleprompter, but when he speaks freely, something his handlers rarely allow to happen, he often stumbles badly.

But Biden’s performance in office was never a concern for the Democrats, who wanted only to drag him over the finish line.

Last March, after Biden had taken a decisive lead in the Democratic primary, Alex Wagner, co-host of Showtime’s “The Circus” and a contributor to The Atlantic, gave away the game.

In an op-ed entitled “Stay Alive, Joe Biden.” Wagner claimed that his cognitive condition did not matter because “Democrats need little from the front-runner beyond his corporeal presence.”

Wagner wrote:

Voters seem to have coalesced around Biden for his past—who they have known him to be for the past four decades in American politics—rather than for anything in his present. It’s as if Biden exists primarily as an idea, rather than an actual candidate.

Biden was never really convincing anyone on the stump—his political power at this point is an idea, held collectively, about how to defeat Trump. The work now is to keep that idea convincing enough, for long enough, among as many people as possible, for the corporeal man to actually win.

Democrats have chosen Biden as their vessel for Trump’s defeat, and that choice is the entire point: The vanquishing matters more than anything else.

At the time, I thought the notion that Democrats could prop up a man, as in “Weekend at Bernie’s,” for what he once was, was sheer madness.

But it’s now mission accomplished and I think we can expect to see Harris glide seamlessly into the Oval Office.
